About us


Smart Living was founded in 2007 by Mark Lewin and Mark Turner.

Combining more than 30 years experience between them, Mark & Mark bring together skills & knowledge across the whole electrical services spectrum.

But it’s not just our expertise that defines Smart Living. We are committed to honesty and integrity in our business dealings. We look realistically at what our clients need and want and we recommend on the basis of those requirements. We don’t over-specify and we are careful with our quotes.

Electrical systems are our passion and we keep an eye on the future as well as the present, wherever possible delivering solutions that will adapt to absorb new technologies and expanding requirements.



MARK LEWIN started working as a sparky in 1988 and by 1994 was a partner in PowerTec. Whilst there, he managed large teams of electricians and extensive projects in the private & public sector. PowerTec was a preferred supplier of the London Borough of Sutton, which is where Mark learnt so much about the particular demands and pressures of working in schools, colleges and civic offices.


MARK TURNER started as an electrician in 1996 with a local firm. He set up Turners Electrical Contactors in 2002 became NIC EIC registered in 2003. He undertook all general electrical works and moved into a specialised field where his main projects where high end domestic new build and refurbishments.

He is an avid Fulham Football Club fan and enjoys mountain biking and running with his new wife. As Smart Living’s NIC qualifying supervisor, Mark will be your first contact for our free site surveys.
